Afterparty

Role: Narrative Designer and Writer

  • Developed and championed the narrative integrity and design goals of Afterparty from its concept to completion.

  • Crafted world lore and narrative rules for writers and designers to adhere to during the development process.

  • Pitched, developed, wrote, and edited 2 of the 9 main story quests.

  • Implemented quests– directed scenes through hands on character blocking, animations, and dialogue timing, all using in-house node-based visual scripting.

Role: Project Director and Creative Lead

  • Oversaw the creation and development of a mobile puzzle adventure game for a large, established IP with multiple stakeholders.

  • Led a development team of 7+ through the project’s life cycle.

  • Communicated regularly with stakeholders to update our project progress, present ideas, and receive feedback.

  • Pitched, developed, wrote, and edited all 5 quests in the game.

  • Designed tactile touch-based mechanics to support and enhance all story goals.

  • Adhered to strict, well-known, and established character voices.

  • Met fast-paced deadlines and quickly turned around internal and external notes to satisfy all stakeholders.

Sticker Quest: A Daily Adventure

Role: Narrative Designer and Writer

  • Wrote all copy for a daily choose-your-own text adventure story.

  • Designed overall narrative structure for the game.

  • Developed lore, planned future content updates, and implemented text.

  • Worked closely with the project’s artist to bring sticker concepts to final design to be used by players.

  • Designed and implemented core game features.

Unannounced Room Escape Project

Role: Narrative Designer

  • Designed a robust dialogue system from the ground up.

  • Designed 5 room escape levels ranging in difficulty from easy to moderate.

  • Wrote dialogue and collaborated on the overall narrative of the game.

  • Implemented dialogue and text.
